Earler this week I received a set of AA Lutz spruce from Shane of High Mountain Tonewood. Last night I had a chance to run it through the sander. Nice tight grain, very stiff, good silking and the plates were a full 1/4" thick! Attached are a few images, try to count the grain lines! I gave up!  Good stuff Shane!

Thanks Lance. My picture takin' is poor!! Not sure if everyone still remembers the intro special is still on for this month 'AAA' for $35 each or $30 when you by ten and then all of those shorter sets (20 and 21 inches) for $30 each or $25 when you buy ten. Shane |

I'm in complete agreement with Lance. I just got 4 sets of AAA Lutz from Shane the day before yesterday. Folks, you won't go wrong with this wood.
